Background
In November 2007,
Horizon House hosted an event to discuss creative aging. Over 100 people attended. In March, 2008, focus group discussions were held to get more ideas about what a center for creative aging could offer.
In the fall of 2008, the first "Conversations on Creative Aging" was held. Since then, NWCCA has offered Facilitator Training for discussion group leaders, a variety of workshops, and has co-sponsored larger events with other organizations.
NWCCA is led by a part-time Executive Director, the Board of Directors, and volunteers. NWCCA is supported by sponsors and major donors, and individual and organizational members.
